A celebrated International Celebrity Anchor, renowned Urdu Shayar and winner of 40 National and 6 International Awards, Dr. Vaibhav Sharma has built an exceptional identity at the fascinating crossroads of law, literature, poetry, entertainment and public speaking. An alumnus of the prestigious Symbiosis Law College, Pune, Dr. Sharma completed his B.S.L. Law Honours Degree. But even during his college years, destiny was already revealing his artistic calling. At IIT Mumbai’s MOOD INDIGO Festival, one of India’s most celebrated youth festivals, his command over expression earned him two First Prizes—Hindi Extempore and Creative Writing.

The stage soon became his natural kingdom. In 2004, he had the distinguished opportunity to conduct the proceedings of anchoring for the legendary Ghazal Maestro Jagjit Singh ji—a milestone that beautifully connected his talent with one of India’s most iconic musical voices.

His literary brilliance reached another glorious high when he won the Best Urdu Shayar Award at Mehfil-E-Kaynnat, in the presence of legendary personalities including Dialogue King Kader Khan, renowned Urdu Shayar Dr. Bashir Badr and celebrated poet Nida Fazli, at the World Conference of Urdu.

For a poet, few honours can be greater than receiving recognition from legends themselves. Bharat Ratna Maa Saraswati Lata Mangeshkar ji, legendary Hindi poet Dr. Gopaldas Neeraj ji and Ghazal King Jagjit Singh ji admired his extraordinary command over language. Padma Shri Tom Alter bestowed upon him the powerful title “Zubaan Ka Badshah.”

His poetry has also earned him an exceptionally rare identity. After listening to his mesmerising and soulful Urdu poetry at the World Conference of Urdu, Mecca-Madina Maulvi Sahab gave him the title “NAYAB”—meaning rare, precious and incomparable.

And when a legend like Kader Khan ji calls someone a “Ruhani Farishta,” the words themselves become an honour. This extraordinary title became another jewel in Dr. Sharma’s remarkable journey.

On 18 July 2021 in Mumbai, another prestigious chapter was added to his legacy when he received the Doctorate of Honour from the American University of Global Peace, U.S.A., alongside legendary playback singer Padma Bhushan Udit Narayan ji and renowned legendary actor Raza Murad ji.
