New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts and Chair for the Indo-Slovenia Film and Cultural Forum, was accorded the esteemed position of special invitee at the National Day Celebration of the Republic of Slovenia. The event took place at Hotel ITC Maurya and was hosted by the Embassy of Slovenia in India.
Establishing a robust relationship with the Embassy of Slovenia since 2014, Dr. Sandeep Marwah has played a pivotal role in fostering cultural ties between India and Slovenia. The Indo-Slovenia Film and Cultural Forum, initiated in 2016, has become a cornerstone for numerous collaborative events, showcasing the strong bond between the two nations. Dr. Marwah, the founder of Noida Film City, expressed his satisfaction with the joint efforts, citing the active participation of the Republic of Slovenia in major global events such as the Global Film Festival, Global Festival of Journalism, Global Fashion Week, and Global Literary Festival.
Her Excellency Mateja Vodeb Ghosh, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to India, highlighted the strength of their relations with India, stating, “Our relations with India are very strong, and we are enhancing the scope of our collaboration every year.” The sentiment was echoed by Meenakshi Lekhi, Union Minister for State in the Ministry of External Affairs and Culture, who graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The National Day Celebration marked another milestone in the enduring friendship between India and Slovenia, with Dr. Sandeep Marwah’s presence adding a touch of cultural significance to the event.
